Superman, where are you?

Children's film-makers with new education proposals.

Just a nick of time, too. This year alone, Pennsylvania's public schools have improved class size, stop teaching kids that fall behind, removed options such as music and art, stop replacing crumbling books or obsolete computers, started charging a fee for participating in extracurricular activities like sports and fired more than 14,000 educators.

Who's to blame for a short policy look like? This is that Obama darn and stimulus money, isn't it? I never trust him with the hope and change. But, no. School funded all of these things before the stimulus money coming in. So why would they stop?

Governor Corbett, no doubt wear red robes and wearing trunks outside pants, cut funding for education is far below what it was before the stimulus money-he just set aside a large piece for a rainy day and called it all "Education Fund" so its creative accountants can claim he was the education budget increased. Perhaps different math on the planet.

Why not actually increase the education budget or at the very least leave them untouched? Because Kal-el (i.e. Corbett's Krypton name) the oath of His father J.o.r-el (read: anti conservative ideologues Grover Norquist) that he would not raise any taxes-even on the abundant natural resources such as the Marcellus shale that every other State tax abundant Marcellus. He won't even use tax surplus of $ 1 billion. He will also prioritize funding for education, say, 2.48 billion in additional spending on prisons.

Unfortunately, our hero "principled stance" is not going well. But never fear. Here he comes to save the day … again.

Corbett surrounding damage survey and numbers that is the best way to help students to make sure they go to schools that have a lower class size, have the opportunity to participate in various extracurricular activities, attend school with the guidance, new textbooks and technology.

Only those schools would not be in public school. They are going to be parochial and Charter schools.

The thing is, he says take heroic attitude, is that public schools were damaged and the only way to fix this is to allow children to escape into the hands of the company and the clergy.

Um. Sorry, Governor? Jimmy Olsen here with the Daily Planet. Just a few questions. Set aside budget constraints, how public schools are damaged?

Yes, urban district with an excess of poor children have higher rates of dropout of more prosperous. Is it really surprising? Many students who are less capable of more worried about where their next meal is coming from, where they will sleep and if they are safe, rather than by reading and writing. It is not a failure of education. It is a failure of the community. Until we address the root causes of poverty-Achievement Gap-we will never solve the difference in test scores. How will different school buildings will fix this?

Second, there is evidence that the parish of Charter schools and do a better job than public schools? There are dozens of studies of the problem and they all have found that, taken as a whole, public schools outperform the company's partners and religion. Yes, there are several Parochial Schools are doing better than public institutions and the Charter but they are few and far between. If so, what makes You think sending children to these institutions will benefit them?

Finally, if public schools is broken, why not fix them? Wouldn't it be more fiscally responsible for repairing the damage rather than jump into the boat alive? Who will take an honest evaluation of the real problems, like the education budget cuts and a love after schoolgirl modeling with national companies and sports teams which forced them to compete for limited resources. Children are not widget or test scores. They are people and require different methods to succeed. After all, in a competitive model, there are always winners and losers. In education, we do not want any losers-we want everyone to learn.

But there is no answer from our hero. Quickly "Up, up and away!" he's off to the sky, but we could see the bulging wallet as he flies. Wallets are bursting at the seams with contributions from lobbyists and parochial school Charter such as the Koch brothers and Michelle Rhee.

We have to wait for another hero from high to set things right? Or will the truth-the Governor we only Kryptonite-enough to bring him and his cronies come down to Earth? That, dear reader, depending on the credibility of public voting.

Tune in next time. …

Recognizing this frustrating aspect of the process of higher education, BCC has been affiliated with many four-year colleges and universities.

Doctor Adames is proudly to note that the two-year college ranked as the top two-year college in the State. Recently the college opened a new student community center.

WASHINGTON (AP)-Signaling some unity in the Senate on the reorganization of the "No Child Left Behind" law, two Senators announced Monday an agreement to move forward on bipartisan legislation to revamp it.

Soon after, however, the Secretary of education Arne Duncan issued a statement noting that the Bill does not include the provision of administrative assistance, which is a requirement that State and local districts in developing evaluation system of teachers and principals. Duncan said he believed "that a comprehensive evaluation system based on multiple measures, including student achievement, it is important for educational reform to move forward" and "we cannot retreat from reform."

Senator Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, and Mike Enzi, Wyo, Senator for from their party on the Committee of the Senate with jurisdiction over education, made the announcement two days before the Committee would consider a sweeping Bill that seeks to give more control to States in legal education and change some unpopular ability standard. Last week, Harkin released the outline of a plan of senators have been working on behind closed doors which incorporate components on teacher and principal evaluation. At that time, Enzi has not yet entered the public plan.

In a statement, Harkin called the Bill "a compromise which suggests that Congressional Democrats and Republicans can overcome partisan differences."

The National Education Association teachers Union as well as four organizations representing principals, school administrators and School Board, has sent a letter to Senators to express concerns about language in the bill. Teacher and principal evaluation, the group said they were concerned with the capacity of States and local school districts to develop a system of evaluation is not a mechanism for forced and main teacher distribution.

There may be some college basketball game which is more prominent National-weekend is worth a look at the preview instead of Thursday night

Plus, Thursday night college basketball schedule was very weak, with this game being the only one involving ranked teams (and, of course, there is no NBA). So unless you want to bet on the Browns-Steelers NFL matchup Thursday night or random, this NHL game is your best option. A Tip is at 7 PM ET on ESPN2.

And as an aside, maybe I should stay solely for college hoops. I've seen a preview of one game a week for three weeks and had been hit on the side in the third. The last game in this space was count on the Ohio State Buckeyes, with an easy include deployment 85-63 win decisively to best performance by any team so far this year. I also hit "more" in one.

OK, I know what you think: Ivy League teams against national champion and the No. 9 stayed in the nation. Incompatibility. But not Crimson, coached by former Duke star and Michigan and Seton Hall Coach Tommy Amaker, your typical Ivy League clubs.

The Crimson 8-0 for the first time since 1984-85 and was defeated when the team ranked Florida State. In fact, they beat Utah, FSU and Central Florida to win the tournament battle 4 Atlantis Thanksgiving.

Doubling down on the argument that children in poor environments should be working as janitors in schools, Gingrich argued that the best way to teach kids in poor neighborhoods a good working habits is to put them to work as quickly as possible.

"Start with two facts that follows," Gingrich said Thursday at a campaign stop in Iowa.

"They have a habit of not staying all day. They have a habit of not ' I did this and You gave me cash ' unless it's illegal. "

Gingrich said everyone who knew her success began to work at an early age in explaining its position that the school must hire the needy children in their neighborhood for a part-time job as a librarian Assistant or Assistant to janitors.

Peyton Siva says he scored on his drive with 1.4 seconds left in part because his dish to Chane Behanan at the end of regulation. Behanan missed from point-blank range, but the Commodores would take note of the close call.

That last game we ran that got Chane pass bounce, I guess they wanted to stop the one, and I cut and gets to the edge, said Siva, who had 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Vanderbilt coach Kevin Stallings know Siva fought off the perimeter, missing the fourth from 3-point attempts. Commodores (5-3) already has been appropriated by sending their defenders under picks and daring Siva to shoot.
