Questions arise over the safety of Chinese school bus after at least 17 children were killed and dozens others were wounded in a series of accidents this week. On Monday, a school bus carrying 41 students fell into a roadside ditch in Jiangsu Province, killing 15 and injuring eight. The same day, 37 children were injured when a school bus collided with a heavy-duty truck in Guangdong Province. Just one day later, a similar accident took another two lives in the central province of Henan.

As public outrage increased, Beijing launched a National School bus safety inspections, focusing on the condition of the vehicle and driver training, according to Xinhua. The Ministry of education ordered another round of inspection of national security after the crash, which killed 15 of Jiangsu. At the end of November, shortly after the crash of Gansu and Chinese school bus donation to Macedonia, Prime Minister Wen Jiabao promised government action to improve school bus safety, which prompted the Central Government to draw up safety guidelines.

The latest tragedy has sparked fears that stricter standards inadequate to prevent late crash further.

"In General, the guidelines placed greater emphasis on the duties of a government safety inspection, but not enough on the importance of government investment," wrote the Xiong Bingqi, Deputy Director of the Research Institute of education of the 21st century and regular commenter on issues of education, in his personal blog. "Because there is a lack of fiscal investment in rural areas, schools have to resort to substandard vehicles. That's what ultimately led to the school bus safety issues. "

But the end of his life was in sight Tuesday as the country's lawmakers were ready to give final approval to legislation that would allow the school to drop the name and logo, showing the profile of the native American Warrior.

Applicable state law last March require the UND Fighting Sioux team known as the, but the law has led to the scheduling problem and can affect the school's bid to join the Big Sky Conference. Since August, the NCAA has banned UND from hosting postseason tournament and said the school athletes may not wear uniforms with the name or logo for postseason play.

Over the past three decades, Milwaukee undoubtedly has led the nation in the number of plans were developed to improve K-12 education. With other initiatives announced last week, the Journal Sentinel readers inexcusable feeling they've heard this story before.

Recent recommendations from the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce-push in one crucial area. MMAC and its allies have convinced innovative educators from other places to open schools in Milwaukee. Two years ago, I visited a rocketship for a Charter School in San Jose. It is great news that the operation is impressive coming here.

However, the purpose of adding valuable high-quality charter schools stood in contrast to other aspects of the plan of MMAC. Business leaders who will be asked to finance it should apply the kind of surveillance required in the world in which they operate.

The plan comes up short on two major areas. First, it relies on the date, description and misleading about the narrow lead. Second, running back from historic organization commitment to create a real market education.

In determining the problem, MMAC focuses solely on student achievement gap between low-income and minority students in Milwaukee. It sets the bar low and reinforce the widely held belief that the other students but flawed-in Milwaukee and elsewhere-is doing well. Wild rose

The Ministry found that more than 40 percent of schools with low-income students spend less per pupil than other public schools in same district.

"A lot of public schools serving children on low incomes are not getting their fair share of State and local education funds," said Secretary of education Arne Duncan on a conference call with reporters, adding the survey covering the school year 2008-09 "asserts a fact unfavorable."

The Data collected as part of the 2009 economic stimulus plan, which flooded the States with money and education required extensive reporting how dollars flowed. New Jersey schools not included in the survey because of the country including federal funds in the calculation.

"The net result is this: in too many places, a money title fill gaps instead of closing the budget gap of achievement," said Duncan.

We provide the initial projection of eight week BCS ranking, which would probably have around seven in Stanford. For more on the Stanford football, check the rules tree.

The conclusion of the week seven College football season 2011 BCS Standings means the first to be released Sunday night. As we have been waiting and waiting for this ranking, the argument would increase about not only who will end up in the national title game and variety of the BCS bowls, but also the basic fairness of the BCS. We have some increased up to above the projection of the BCS, while some central team lost their shot.

Week seven saw the top of the team remains largely in place, while significant upheaval occurred beginning at the end of the top ten. Number 8 Clemson narrowly avoid huge upset in Maryland thanks to fourth 21-point quarter comeback. After that, all hell broke loose with Michigan No. 10/11, no. 13 Georgia Tech and no. 15/16 Illinois get all tapped by low opponents or not included.

Stanford Cardinal held their ground with a 44-14 blowout of Washington State Cougars in Pullman, Washington. After the first half, the Cardinals opened the ugly things in the second half and pulled away easily. They're probably not going to move in the rankings, but they continued to hold steady when they enter a portion of their schedule is tight. They host Washington, travels to USC and then two weeks later the host of Oregon at the make-or-break from their schedules.

With Saturday's in the books, here is an attempt to project the BCS ranking first. While waiting for the latest poll, I had a look at last week's variety of BCS poll and computer rankings, which include Wolfe.

Now a motivational speaker, Murphy, came to the three villages to give a speech to all wrestlers in grades kindergarten through 12 and their families at Ward Melville High School on Tuesday November 15th. Free event is sponsored by the Booster Club and the Patriots wrestling will take place from 6-8 pm at the gymnasium.

Murphy refused to use disability as an excuse, and began wrestling in high school freshman wrestling team in East Islip. He then continued his career at Penn State University. He participated in the Paralympics weightlifting event and in 2006 won the bronze medal at the IPC Powerlifting World Championships.

Murphy's achievements gained media attention and she has been featured in publications such as NBC News, ABC News ' 20/20, Sports Illustrated and Newsday. He also appears in the campaign "no reason" Nike, which is meant to motivate people to make working out plans and living a healthy lifestyle.
